Artist's Description
As the sun beats down over the Great Bitter Lake, a scene of harmonious coexistence between tradition and modernity unfolds. A wind-powered fishing boat, with its sail full and taut, glides gracefully across the shimmering waters. Its seasoned crew moves with a rhythm honed by years of braving the open seas, their nets ready to harvest the bounty beneath the waves. Nearby, a colossal ship rests in the lake, its deck laden with towering windmill blades destined for distant shores. These giants of engineering, each blade longer than the fishing boat itself, are a testament to humanity’s pursuit of sustainable energy. The two vessels, though disparate in size and purpose, share a silent kinship, propelled by the same ancient breeze that has guided mariners since time immemorial. (October 2023)
