Artist's Description
The last day of Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is called the Lantern Festival. This is the last time you can find lanterns hung outside some homes.
Old West Street, is protected from modern development. The facades and doorways are the same as they were during the Qing Dynasty. While the lions and dragons were dancing down Old West Street, this ancient doorway was lit by electric lanterns. I went back the next day and the lanterns were gone. (Feb 2019)
