Description
Along the Ou River the Chinese city of Longquan has developed a "Tea Street." The idea being, to consolidate the famous teas from the surrounding areas into a string of shops along a scenic part the river. The street is very popular and if you are going in the evening, you can expect a large crowd. There is a small stage where musicians sometimes play.
Above the entrance of one shop there is a double string of lanterns with the chinese character "Cha" for tea on them. The lanterns give off a warm welcoming glow beckoning passersby in for some tea. (May 2019)
