Description
The Longquan International Stargazing Group ventured up a remote mountain for one last outing this August. This day also happened to be Chinese Valentine's Day, so appropriate snacks were also hauled up. We managed to arrive at our chosen location around 2320 and by 2340 the sky had turned completely overcast despite the weather app saying "0% clouds" for this time. Ha. Luckily, in those first 20 minutes I was able to capture the milky way with just a few clouds, the reddish-orange glow of the moon setting behind a mountain, and a shooting star for good measure. After the clouds rolled in, we at least, still had the good food to eat. (Aug 2019)
